Tenreply Is Now on Zapier and n8n: Connect WhatsApp to 7,000+ Apps

Tenreply now ships official integrations for both Zapier and n8n — so you can connect your WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger inbox to thousands of apps without writing a line of code. Here is the complete picture and how to get started.

The Announcement

Today we're launching two integrations that a lot of you have been asking for: Tenreply on Zapier and a Tenreply community node for n8n. Together they connect your shared WhatsApp, Instagram DM, and Messenger inbox to the rest of the tools your business already runs on — CRMs, spreadsheets, e-commerce platforms, payment processors, help desks, and roughly 7,000 other apps.

Until now, automating Tenreply meant talking to our REST API and webhooks directly. That's powerful, but it requires a developer. With Zapier and n8n, anyone on your team can build automations visually — drag, drop, connect, done.

The Complete Idea: Automation + a Human Inbox

Here's the mental model that makes everything click. There are two halves to running customer messaging well:

  • Automation — sending the right message at the right moment (order shipped, appointment tomorrow, payment received) and syncing data between systems. This is what Zapier and n8n do.
  • Conversation management — a real person reading a customer's reply, answering it, assigning it, and tracking it to resolution. This is what Tenreply does.

The integrations let both halves share the same WhatsApp Business number. Your Zap or n8n workflow fires the automated message; when the customer replies, that conversation lands in the Tenreply shared inbox where your team picks it up. No more bots talking into a void.

What You Can Build

A few examples teams are already wiring up:

  • New lead → WhatsApp welcome: a new contact in HubSpot or a new Shopify customer automatically gets a welcome template, and the conversation opens in Tenreply.
  • Inbound message → CRM: every incoming WhatsApp message is logged as an activity against the contact in your CRM.
  • Form submission → conversation: someone fills in a Typeform, and Tenreply starts a WhatsApp conversation with them within seconds.
  • Order shipped → delivery update: your store marks an order shipped, and a templated tracking message goes out automatically.
  • Conversation closed → satisfaction survey: when an agent resolves a chat, a follow-up survey link is sent a few hours later.

Triggers and Actions Available

Both integrations expose the same core building blocks:

  • Triggers: New Inbound Message, New Contact, New Conversation, Conversation Status Changed, Message Status Update.
  • Actions: Send Message, Send Template Message, Create Contact, Update Contact, Start Conversation, Close Conversation.
  • Searches: Find Contact — look a contact up by phone or email before acting on it.

Zapier or n8n — Which One?

Zapier is the fastest way in. It's fully hosted, has the biggest app directory, and you can build a working automation in minutes with zero infrastructure. If you want the broadest set of pre-built connectors and the simplest experience, start with Zapier.

n8n is the choice for teams who want to self-host, keep data in-house, or build more complex branching logic at lower cost. It's open-source and developer-friendly. The Tenreply n8n node is published on npm: n8n-nodes-tenreply.

Getting Started in 3 Steps

  1. Turn on Developer Mode in Tenreply under Settings → Features, then create an API key under Settings → Developer (it starts with trl_live_).
  2. Connect your account — in Zapier, search for "Tenreply" and paste your key; in n8n, install the community node and add a Tenreply API credential.
  3. Build your first automation using any trigger and action above.

The Bottom Line

Automation without a human inbox leaves customers hanging. A human inbox without automation doesn't scale. The Zapier and n8n integrations give you both on a single WhatsApp number — connect Tenreply to your stack today and let your team focus on the conversations that need a person.
