Hootsuite and Buffer Alternative With a Team Inbox

Looking for a Hootsuite or Buffer alternative? If your customers reply on Instagram and WhatsApp, a scheduler with a built-in team inbox may fit better.

Hootsuite and Buffer are established social media schedulers. They are built mainly for planning and publishing content, and their pricing reflects that, with the useful features usually on paid plans. If you are a small business whose customers reply on Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp, the question is less "which scheduler?" and more "where do the conversations go?"

Three kinds of tools

  • Schedulers plan and publish content across networks. Some add a social inbox for comments.
  • Inboxes bring messages from different channels into one place for a team. Most don't publish.
  • All-in-one tools do both, so the team that posts is the team that answers.

Tenreply is the third kind, and it adds WhatsApp through the official Business API, which most schedulers don't support.

What you get with Tenreply

  • Publishing and scheduling to Instagram (feed, carousels, Reels, Stories), Facebook Pages and LinkedIn: social publishing.
  • A shared inbox for WhatsApp, Instagram DMs, Messenger and your website chat: team inbox.
  • Instagram comment-to-DM by keyword, with an optional public reply: Instagram automation.
  • WhatsApp broadcasts, chatbots and templates on the official API.
  • A contacts CRM and deal pipeline, so every conversation has history.

Every feature is included, with no cap on seats or conversations.

When Hootsuite or Buffer is the better fit

Be honest about your needs. If you mainly publish content across many networks (X, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube and more) and rarely get DMs, a dedicated scheduler covers more networks than Tenreply does today. Tenreply publishes to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn.

When Tenreply is the better fit

  • Your customers message you (on Instagram, WhatsApp or Messenger) and those messages turn into sales.
  • Several people answer customers and need one shared view.
  • You want posts that start conversations, like "comment LINK", and answer them automatically.
  • You want WhatsApp and social in the same place.

Get started

  1. Create an account.
  2. Connect Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn and WhatsApp in Settings → Channels.
  3. Schedule this week's posts in Publish, and set up a comment keyword on the first one.
