Posting the same update to three networks by hand means three apps, three uploads and three chances to make a typo. Cross-posting tools solve that: you write the post once, choose where it goes, and publish everywhere together.
This guide covers what each network needs, the mistakes that get posts rejected, and how to do it from one place with Tenreply.
What "posting at once" really means
Good cross-posting publishes natively on each network through its official API. The post appears as a real Instagram post, a real Facebook Page post and a real LinkedIn update, not as a link to somewhere else. That matters, because native posts get far more reach than shared links.
What each network needs
| Network | Account type | Watch out for |
|---|---|---|
| Business or Creator account | Needs at least one photo or video. Images must be JPEG and between 4:5 portrait and 1.91:1 landscape. | |
| A Facebook Page (not a personal profile) | Text-only posts work, unlike Instagram. | |
| Your profile or a company page you administer | Professional tone; long captions are fine. |
Post to all three with Tenreply
- Create an account at app.tenreply.com.
- Connect your accounts in Settings → Channels: Instagram, your Facebook Page and LinkedIn. You can connect more than one account per network.
- Open Publish, tick the accounts you want, write the caption and add your photos or video.
- Choose the post type: a feed post or Reel, or a Story on Instagram and Facebook.
- Click Publish, or set a date and time to schedule it.
Each post shows its status in the history: scheduled, published or failed. If a network rejects a post, the error tells you why, and you can retry with one click. The social publishing page has the full list of supported post types.
Avoid the common rejections
- Wrong image format for Instagram: PNG screenshots and iPhone HEIC photos are often rejected. Tenreply converts them to JPEG automatically, and pads images that are too tall or too wide rather than failing the post.
- No image on an Instagram post: Instagram has no text-only posts. Add a photo, or leave Instagram out of that post.
- Too many hashtags: fine on Instagram, but they look out of place on LinkedIn. Keep the caption neutral, or post separately when the tone needs to differ.
Answer the replies in the same place
Posting is half the job. Comments on Instagram posts you publish through Tenreply appear under each post, and Instagram, Messenger and WhatsApp messages land in one shared inbox. The person who published the post can answer the questions it creates without switching apps. If a post asks people to comment a keyword, comment-to-DM automation can answer them for you.
Frequently asked questions
Can I post to more than one Instagram account at once?
Yes. Connect each account and tick the ones you want for each post.
Does cross-posting hurt reach?
Not when the post is published natively through each network's API, as Tenreply does. Reach drops when you share a link to a post on another network instead.
Can I post to X (Twitter) or TikTok?
Not yet. Tenreply publishes to Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn today.
